A Beautiful Sunday at Douthat State Park in Virginia

7:14 am Photography, Visited Sites in Virginia

Wow, yesterday was a great day for someone that has missed out on so many places in the Virginia area.  Douthat State Park in Millboro, Virginia is an awesome place.  Kayla, my dear daughter,  and her youth church group left to go there after church.  She took along a friend of hers, Dominique, who seemed to be a great kid.  I wanted to follow them there and see what this Douthat State Park was like.  The first thing we saw when we went through the park was 4, what I want to call brave, brave men, sitting in the middle of what had to be a cold fresh water creek coming down from the dam.  They were just sitting in the middle of the stream with no shirts on and their shorts or bathing trunks letting the water run around them.  BRRRRRRR   I know it had to be absolutely freezing.  It makes me cold just thinking about it.  It was a warm day but there has not been enough warm days to warm the water up and besides, does cold mountain stream water really ever get warm.  None I have found does.  If the day is extremely hot it can definitely cool you off but it still doesn’t ever feel warm.   :)

Ok, now for your viewing pleasure….here are the 4 men as they sat in the stream.  I could only get 3 of them in one shot because I had my 200mm lens and could not get the 4th man so there are 2 shots.  This is definitely a shout out to their brave souls.  :)     Thanks guys for the great shot!!!
