The flooding in the middle United States, what is going on with this world?

11:56 am Personal Thoughts

I watch the news daily.  I have already written about this, but I keep seeing about the flooding in Iowa and along the Mississippi River.  I just read that the Red Cross has gone through all of its funds for these people there and are borrowing from others to help them.  As of today only 5 people have died, which is miraculous, but I know that in the Bible it says that God would not destroy the world again by floods.  What is happening now?  What did the people of Iowa do, what did the people of Idaho do, what did the people of Wisconsin do?  Why is God letting this happen again when he said he wouldn’t?  I don’t have the money to help these people.  I want too sooooo bad.  I just don’t know what I can do.  The thing that is bothering me the most is it just keeps going on.  They think it is over and something else happens.  One man lost over 800 of his pigs that he had on his pig farm.  He said they were just floating down the river.  Oh my gosh, how can this happen?  They said it was a 500 year flood.   I remember how bad it was here when Roanoke had the flood of 1985 and they said it was a 100 year flood.  I can just imagine all the damage that a 500 year flood does.  I am really having a hard time with this.  I guess it is my age.  I have found out that as I have gotten older it is hard to accept change.  Anymore that is all that I see in this world is change.  The gas prices are changing, they are going up more and more everyday.  I did see where Saudi Arabia is going to start releasing 500,000 more gallons of oil a day.  But, when I read about that,  Economists say that could eventually hurt Saudi Arabia.  OH WELL!!!  What am I missing here?  Saudi Arabia has all the oil and we need it and by them producing more a day that will  hurt them?  RIGHT!!  I don’t understand the economy.  I don’t remember my history.  Why would this hurt Saudi Arabia?  Then I read where Saudi Arabia is doing this because they are scared all the countries will find alternate sources instead of using oil.  Hmmm….wouldn’t they be good for us?  Wouldn’t that be good for the world? Here is a quote from one of the articles I read……”If Saudi Arabia is really going to increase the production, it will have to coordinate that with other OPEC countries and get assurances from consuming countries that they will control their market conditions; otherwise, oil prices will fall down significantly.”  Well duh!!!!! Don’t we  want oil prices to fall significantly?  Will we ever see gas back to $1.50 a gallon?  Saudi Arabia was doing fine when the price of oil was significantly lower.  Why can’t we go back to those days?

To go back to the flooding…I know I ramble on.  My thoughts go from one thing to the other.  With this flooding and all of the animals and the crops and everything else that these middle states lost because of the flooding, that is going to increase our food prices considerably.  When is it ever going to end?  I got $65 last month in food stamps.  With the cost of food increasing, that is not going to give us but a couple of meals a month if it keeps on.  I am on disability.  I get a whopping $657 a month from my Social Security.  I worked all those years and only earned enough for $657 a month.  Of course when I started working, minimum wage was only $1.65 an hour.   Today it is only what, $5.85 an hour?  How can people live off of that?  They can’t.  I talk to people constantly that get jobs and make $10 an hour and they raise cain because of that.  LOL Of course they are younger and don’t remember minimum wage being $1.65.    I will be back later on to finish this…my rent a husband is here to mow the yard, after a month, and my yard is 3 feet high.
