Restaurant Review in Roanoke, VA & other stuff!

When my daughter and her boyfriend got home from school today, I was all ready to go to Roanoke and see my oldest daughter and my granddaughter and then go out to eat.   We fought over where to eat.  The kids wanted to go to Pizza Den or Pizza Inn…whichever is at the bottom of Williamson Rd.  I wanted real food and so we went to “The Great 611 Steak House”.  I should have gone to the pizza place.  :)

I usually love the food at 611 but tonight I got the special which was Ground Sirloin.  I could not eat it.  I had to ask the waitress to please take it off of my bill and I gave it back.  It was absolutely terrible.  Now dd (dear daughter) got the Sirloin Tips, which I usually get, and they were awesome but mine was just not eatable.

Of course before we went to 611, we went first to my oldest dd’s and I had to take a photo of the prettiest little girl in the world.

Gammaw Debbie's beautiful baby granddaughter, KyleeAnn

Isn’t she the prettiest baby you have ever seen?  I just never thought I would live to become a gammaw and she has just made me so happy.  When I see her she gets the biggest smile on her face as if she knows me.  I know she really doesn’t know me yet but she acts like it and that makes my heart sing.  I always sit down in the floor and play with her and her toys until she gets bored, which doesn’t take long.  Kim, my dd, had me laughing so hard last night.  She said that she thinks KyleeAnn gets mad because one hand takes the toy away from the other hand and she can’t get it back yet.  It does seem that way sometimes and that just cracked me up.  She does have a temper for an almost 5 month old baby though, that is for sure.  If she can’t get the toy to her mouth or her one hand takes the toy from her other hand :) she just fusses and fusses until someone picks her up.

I did hurt her today though and I felt so bad.  I had her sitting up between my legs and I was trying to get her to sit up by herself and she fell over and bumped her face on the carpet.  Kim ran over and tried to get her but I held on to her for a minute and then I let Kim have her because I remember that feeling, when your child hurts you want to comfort them and you don’t want anyone else doing it.  After a few minutes I got her back though and kept playing with her.  :)

She has this bounce-a-roo and just has just learned how to jump up and down and make herself bounce and it is hilarious.  Gosh, I love her so much.  It is making me want to go over there right now and see her and it is 12:15AM  LOL

OK, so we spent a while there and then went to eat and I already told you about that.

Next, I really didn’t want to go home so I took the long way home down some country roads that ends up right outside of Boones Mill on Naff Rd.   I had seen these flowers earlier today and wondered what they were.  I have never seen them before but on these roads, they were everywhere and I think they are just beautiful.  I don’t know what they are but I took some photos of them.  If you read this and know what they are called, please let me know.  I would love to have some of them in my yard.

Guess I am going to get off of here and go to couch.  :)   Hope you have a good night and tomorrow brings you sunshine and blue skies!!

Not sure what this flower is, but it sure is pretty!!!
